| What a way to kick off the nation’s 250th birthday!!
In a moving ceremony, a parade of residents and local officials took turns reading lines aloud from the Declaration of Independence on July 4 at the Gazebo on Lake Drive in Robbinsville.
Rotary Club of Robbinsville Hamilton President (and event organizer) Joe Bellina thanked the township and the gathered crowd and said the goal is to make the reading an annual Independence Day event.
Also highlighting the morning were the singing of the Battle Hymn of the Republic and the raising of the 13-star Betsy Ross flag on the gazebo’s newly-installed flagpole. Click here to view event photos and here to view ceremony video. |
