Our Rotary Club is helping to fulfill the mission of Hamilton West junior Addison Bozarth to supply all 17 Hamilton elementary schools with “Different by Design” kits filled with age-appropriate books, lesson plans and activities that focus on various learning differences.
Addison attended our meeting on December 19 to accept a $400 donation toward the project.
Her first kit, “Learners Over Labels,” was launched in October at Robinson Elementary School in recognition of National Disability Awareness Month. Her goal is simple - to help reduce stigma and build a more compassionate, understanding approach to learning differences. |
