It was an emotional club meeting on September 11 as members were given the opportunity to recount their experiences on 9/11 25 years ago.
There were tears for friends lost that day and a stillness to the room as each member relived where they were and what they did on that shocking morning and the time that followed.
Though Rotary is not a religious organization, one of our members, Pastor Robin Palmer Burton, offered a beautiful prayer in remembrance and in support of those still grieving and hurting.
Thank you to Club President Joe Bellina for scheduling this communal, cathartic sharing on the 25th anniversary of a day we will never forget. |
