I couldn’t imagine in those early days that we would complete such major projects as:
  - The construction and ongoing maintenance of Megan’s Place… a quiet park in honor of Megan Kanka.

  - The creation of Adopt-a-Child/Save a Life to provide shelter and vocational training to the street children in Brazil.

  - A $300,000-plus capital campaign to build the Miracle League of Mercer County barrier-free baseball field for players with special
    needs.

  - The construction of the gazebo/bandstand at the Robbinsville Town Center lake.

  - The annual Flags for Heroes event - a display of more than 250 flags on the grounds of RWJ University Hospital Hamilton sponsored         by area residents and business honoring heroes in their lives.

This year, we get to celebrate key milestones in two of those flagship projects - the 30th Anniversary of the dedication of Megan’s Place and the 20th Anniversary of the capital campaign to build the Miracle League facility.

And 2025 also marks the 120th anniversary of the founding of Rotary.

Rotary started with the vision of one man - Paul Harris - an attorney who formed the Rotary Club in Chicago in February 1905 so professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful friendships.

It’s incredible how those two simple goals would grow to the international organization it is today with all the humanitarian accomplishments.

Aside from specific goals for membership, membership engagement and club branding, I have one overriding goal and that is strive to do better in all aspects of the club.

To use the Boy Scout motto…..”leave the campsite in better condition than you found it”.
