Participating Speakers/Presenters (in order of presenting)

  • Kevin Wong: Princeton University Class of 2005 & Co-Founder of PrepMaven
  • Give Something Back: financial aid & mentoring provided to students around the US
  • Janssen Pharmaceutical (J&J): their BTE (Bridge to Employment) program provides aid & mentoring
  • Don Betterton: Retired from Princeton University and Founder of Betterton College Planning
  • Bill Carter: consultant on the financial aid (FAFSA) form
  • United Way: also provide education on the FAFSA form
  • Andre Miglione: Director of Client Services from NJ Higher Education Student Assistance Authority
  • Rotary: the largest civic organization in the world. The 6 local Rotary Clubs each provide scholarships

There will be short presentations on:

  • “The Importance of Seeking Higher Education Opportunities” presented by Kevin Wong
  • “College Planning, Options, and Admission” in 5 parts:
  1. “The Importance of Early Planning” presented by Give Something Back & Janssen’s BTE Program
  2. “Career and Technical Education and Community College Options” presented by Mercer County Community College & Mercer County Technical School
  3. “The College Admission Process at 4-Year Universities” presented by Don Betterton
  4. “Paying for College” presented by Andre Miglione, New Jersey Higher Education Assistance Authority
  5. “Advice on filing the FAFSA (Financial Aid) Form” presented by Bill Carter and the United Way

Scholarships Applications & Additional Information:

In addition, tables will be outside the Hall with Scholarship Applications, Financial Aid information and Applications for Local Colleges & Trade Schools. Plus, there will be experts available to answer questions and assist in other areas of the college admissions process.
